Fascism is more subtle than we tend to think of it. In its weakened and initial stages, it is more anti- intellectual than anything else, which gives it a wide range to wander the institutional and philosophical, cultural, social, and political milieu. Change is certainly its goal, but what kind of change? Heres some examples of daily activities or issues most common people have to deal with and fascism plays the scene. We are all criminals. America deported over 500 so called ""criminals" the last couple of days. This is part of the new executive order to deport all criminals, which really means anyone undocumented is a criminal, regardless of whether or not they are otherwise law abiding. This definition of "criminal" as meaning anything, which could be interpreted as thinking that supports anything illegal, such as abortion, could be considered "criminal". A similar belief that anti-israeli/zionist atrocities is anti-semitism and falls under all laws against discrimination.   Here is something i wrote in 2015 and still true today. a miracle of some substance. Will americans actually vote for the candidate that delivers the best one liners. I think everybody was entertained by Donald Trump, who is the least democratically inclined candidate I’ve ever experienced. With Trump, we probably can dispense with the Congress altogether and he can simply issue decrees. I have no idea who would want to be his vice president, since we can probably dispense with one of those too.   The Supreme   Court is useless against him as is the Constitution. He’s figuratively and literally a one man show. But alas, he merely shows the fateful weakness in the american system because the one entity he can’t replace but must work with is the military and corporations. What is a person? Is a person a legal term? A corporation is a person A set of cells is a person. A nation is a person The constitution said "All Men" were like persons, but it meant some were not, as well as women, landless, poor, slaves, and indigenous non-persons. That was corrected or amended as differentiating between those nonpersons and persons became, if not cumbersome, more difficult. Who is not a person? A palestinian isnt a person.   Martin Luther King Day and Inauguration Day, MLK, DT. I saw where hundreds marched in my home town on Saturday to protest the Trump Presidency. I wonder who organizes these things. Why couldn't the anti-DT march forces join the MLK forces as a show of strength and solidarity? It's cold as hell in the east and hot as, well, you know, hell in the west. And never the twain shall meet, they say. Some women were freed in israel and the annexed palestine. They say conditions were rough but they are smiling, glad to be free, as most of us would be. Disappointing Harris

(Wrote this when Harris was still relevant as a historical figure, like a supposed contender for the presidency but, by gosh, the rest is still the same) It's not that kamala harris is disappointing because being disappointed is merely an emotion of expectant results vs what you finally get from those expectations. What's really disappointing is that america has finally become a corporate, third world nation where money controls everything, even the thoughts of most well-intentioned progressives, which kamala harris is not among those, either. Her interview on cnn revealed what many of us (though not enough) already know, a harris presidency will only be influenced by catastrophic repercussions of former and past failures. From immigration, palestine, climate change, deterioration of national/international infrastructure, corporate allied governments are/will continue to be the influencers and "fixers." I f you're a true believer in the two state solution, that is, still believing that somehow a miracle of cooperation of western nations will make gaza great again or a true believer in the slow, slow relief from ill effects of climate change by a miracle of cooperation of all the oil based, oil users, oil producer nations will make climate change go away, or a true believer of peace, believing that a miracle of cooperation of western nations allied with their enemies list of combative nations will decide to make love, not war by willingness to let go of all the grudges, deceptions, wars, conflicts, accusations, then you must be under the influence of a delusion about how the political world exists.
