We're Watching You

is it any wonder we're the most paranoid culture on earth. don't believe me. think about it. we're a culture that believes everybody we deem important is watching us. God (for obvious reasons, heaven or hell being at stake, Santa Claus ( he knows if you've been bad or good). the tooth fairy (how else would it know who has teeth under the pillow), the government (mostly because of taxes, security and safety concerns (for them)), let's see who or what else is watching over me, how about every fucking camera in every store and street corner, they're all watching you and me in fact, I'm watching you, and you, and you, all of me is watching you.

Bringing it back home

I have liberal friends, or acquaintances who say they speak up when they have to but when it comes to their friends and especially family, they remain quiet in order to maintain "civil". Thats whats wrong with freedom of speech, or for that matter, any freedom, even democracy. We either are self-restricting or as in the case of democracy, only gripe if our choices, which have been restricted, are not that satisfying. Freedom of speech also becomes irrelevant at thanksgiving dinners, office water coolers, or in bars and social clubs where dancing or drinking are supreme. Sure, one can make alot of trouble for themselves by utilizing any of the above mentioned opportunities to rant and rave about what anyone considers grave injustice in the world.  Since people need jobs, it's not too bright to be the only one at your place of work who wants to speak up about injustice. Dear Readers, you may have missed Donald Trumps’ inaugural address out of antipathy and disgust. However, the address was very revealing if you understand Trump Speak. Trump Speak is a dialect that has its foundation in misinformation, exaggeration, lies, bellicose bombast, and self-promotion. This vernacular assumes that the one correct view of the world is Trumps.
